Kwity Paye

Ranked the third-best defensive end prospect by WalterFootball.com, Kwity Paye has the potential to be one of the best pass rushers in this upcoming draft class.

Having taken Davenport in 2018, Ramczyk in 2017 and then Erik McCoy and Cesar Ruiz in 2019 and 2020, the Saints have a thing for drafting players on both sides of the line in the first round. There’s no reason Paye couldn’t be next.

"“Over the year, he showed improved pass-rushing moves and the versatility to line up on the inside at tackle in the sub package. With Paye’s size, speed, athleticism and improving technique, he looks like a potential first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft,” Charlie Campbell wrote."

While Michigan didn’t play up to expectations, Paye did have a solid senior season. He ended the year with two sacks and four tackles for loss in just four games. The season before he had 6.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for a loss.

ESPN’s Todd McShay projected Paye to be a first-round pick, having him go as high as No. 21. If he falls to No. 28, he should certainly be a potential prospect the New Orleans Saints take a chance on.
