Andre Cisco, S, Syracuse University

The last player on our “out-of-the-box” first-round options is very similar to the other options. Andre Cisco is a mid-second-round option that the Saints could stretch to get in the first round to replace a potential big free-agent loss.

Marcus Williams, another player that the Saints drafted, is an unrestricted free agent this year. He is looking for far more than the Saints can offer him. This is where Cisco comes in. In his three years he played at Syracuse, he grabbed 13 interceptions and 14 passes defended.

According to Marino from the Draft Network, “He’s a ball magnet, and his ability to take away the football makes him an appealing prospect. Not only is he a ballhawk, but Cisco’s size and athleticism are also both plus traits.”

There are plenty of prospects that are projected to go in the first round that the Saints could draft with their first pick. However, should all else fail, there are some out-of-the-box options that the team could still revert to if they needed to.
