Craig Robertson, ILB

The Saints have a linebacker problem. They addressed that problem in the offseason with the addition of star linebacker Kwon Alexander in a trade from the San Francisco 49ers. However, he ended up tearing his Achilles’ Tendon and not playing as much as we wanted him to.

Outside of that, because the Saints owe him $0 in dead cap money, he will likely be a casualty of the salary cap. That means that the Saints still need to pursue linebackers in free agency or the draft in the upcoming offseason.

Robertson is a player who has been with the team since coming from the Browns in 2016. In those years, he hasn’t seen very much action. He started for the first couple of years he was with the team, but his playing time has slowly decreased over the course of his career.

However, in his best season, Robertson recorded 115 tackles, six hist on the quarterback, one sack,  one interception, four passes defended, and one forced fumble. Even if nothing else, Robertson is still a quality linebacker on a team without them.
