Baker Mayfield, Cleveland Browns

Whether you think it by luck or chance, Baker Mayfield was the man in the driver’s seat that took the 2020 Cleveland Browns’ team to the playoffs. They were a team who hadn’t been to the playoffs in a very, very, very long time.

That in and of itself is a feat. However, Mayfield didn’t just snap it into existence. He ground out 3,563 passing yards and 26 touchdowns with only eight interceptions. He also ran for 165 yards and another touchdown on the ground.

He has pretty much thrown for over 3,000 yards and over 20 touchdowns in each of the three seasons he has been in the NFL. The difference is that he has gone from 20+ interceptions per season to under eight in his most recent.

Mayfield has only gotten better and will only get better; the potential is his biggest asset moving forward. In 2022, he is set to become a free agent. He could cost the Saints a lot of money, but he will be the cheapest of the three listed here.
