Number One: Arm Strength

It was obvious as the New Orleans Saints’ season went on that Drew Brees didn’t have the arm strength he once had. Jameis Winston, on the flip side, posses all the arm talent you look for in an NFL quarterback and he could shine as a full-time starter once again.

Jameis Winston flashed his potential in the Divisional Round playoff loss to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers as he connected with Tre’Quan Smith for a 56-yard touchdown pass.

Drew Brees struggled to throw the ball further than ten yards down the field against opposing defenses, but Winston has been looking good in practice and the few game reps he received.

Winston has received nothing but praise for his leadership and pocket poise since his arrival in New Orlean,s and if he re-signs with the Saints, they should be excited about his development with the franchise.

Jameis Winston gets a lot of his arm strength from being a pitcher his whole life for various baseball teams. Winston was so gifted that he was even able to pitch for the Florida State Seminoles.

Winston has an elite level of arm strength and is right up there with Seattle’s Russell Wilson and Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes. Saints fans should be excited for his tenure as the team’s starting quarterback.
