After Drew Brees officially retires, the hunt will be on for the Saints’ starting quarterback, and Jameis Winston could be their guy.

The New Orleans Saints will be losing the quarterback that helped them win their first and only Super Bowl title back in 2009-10, but they may have their next in the building. His name is Jameis Winston, and he was a former No. 1 overall pick.

Obviously, there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding the future of the quarterback position for the New Orleans Saints, but everyone surrounding the Saints’ organization believes Jameis Winston is the guy.

Sean Payton has been vocal about making Jameis Winston a priority this offseason and Winston could very easily sign up to be the successor to Drew Brees. He’s known to be in the “driver’s seat for the 2021 starting quarterback gig which is high praise for the former Buccaneer.

Winston, 27, has a lot of traits that Drew Brees didn’t have as of late, and he could be a very exciting prospect to watch next season.
