The Houston Texans and J.J. Watt have agreed to part ways, and the former Defensive Player of the Year should think about joining the New Orleans Saints.

A team that is about to enter the rebuilding phase, the Houston Texans may lose a superstar on both sides of the ball this offseason, and the New Orleans Saints should at least look into what talent they could add.

For the Texans, they have parted ways with the greatest defender in the history of their franchise, J.J. Watt. Watt still has some gas left in the tank, but after another disappointing season, his time in Houston is over.

It couldn’t have come at a better time though. Deshaun Watson has already requested a trade, and while the Texans seem adamant about not deal the superstar, he will likely eventually have his way.

Watt and the Saints, despite New Orleans being over $70 million in the salary cap hole, could be a good fit. He’d certainly have to take some type of discount to come to the Big Easy, much like Jameis Winston did a season ago.

That said, let’s dive into three reasons why he should at least consider New Orleans when choosing his next NFL home.
