The New Orleans Saints are in an awful salary cap situation, but there are a few pending free agents that they may try to make a run at.

With negative $74.6 million in cap space currently, the New Orleans Saints’ offseason is going to consist of clearing cap space, rather than splurging to upgrade their roster.

Still, the team may try to fit in a few pending free agents. It is difficult for front offices to part with players that they drafted and developed, and the Saints have multiple accomplished players set to test free agency.

It’s going to be tough either way because the Saints are going to have to part ways with a handful of them unless something miraculous happens. Trey Hendrickson and Marcus Williams, both drafted with that highly talented 2017 draft class, will be hitting the open market.

Given their financial situation, for New Orleans to re-sign a pending free agent, they need to believe that they are irreplaceable or must be enamored with them. Do any of their pending free agents qualify?

Let us take a closer look. We will go in order from least to most intriguing.
