Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers don’t have many options behind Ben Roethlisberger, and Big Ben definitely didn’t look great to end the Steelers season. After all, the veteran is now 38 years old. He’s going to be calling it a career soon.

The Steelers need a better run attack, but they also will need their quarterback of the future. They’d be better of getting that player sooner rather than later, and they’ll likely be a player that is in the market for Winston.

Winston reportedly had an offer on the table last offseason from Pittsburgh, but he opted to go with New Orleans instead. Is he going to make the decision twice? The Steelers aren’t in a much more friendly cap situation, but they will have more money to offer Winston.

Without a capable backup, the Steelers may just want to use their available cap space for a player that has the potential to be the future of their franchise. However, the future is now for New Orleans and could be later for Pittsburgh.

If that’s the case, the Steelers will likely not be as favorable a destination of New Orleans.
