Michael Thomas

The last person is an offensive player as well — Michael Thomas. There is no questioning that Michael Thomas had an off-year. Between injuries and team discipline, the superstar wide receiver missed over half the team’s games last season.

However, let’s not quickly forget that this is the same player that caught over 140 passes two seasons ago and caught a record number of yards. That Michael Thomas is still there and present and will hopefully return again next year.

Because of that, he needs to be the focal point of the wide receivers. With a new quarterback that can hopefully get the ball down the field more, the other wide receivers need to be built around the strengths of Michael Thomas — especially when Sanders’s contract is up next season.

The New Orleans Saints have a lot of weapons on their team. In the coming years though, there will be players leave and others step in, to ensure success not only in 2021 but also in the future, they need to build the team around these three pivotal players.
