Demario Davis

The Saints have a good defense. With Hendrickson, Davenport, and Jordan on the edge, they have a great pass rush. With Lattimore, Jenkins squared, and Williams, they have the receivers and downfield locked up tight.

Then there is Demario Davis.

The only linebacker worth any talk on the team. However, he is the central part of the defense that brings them together. That is why if there is anyone on the defense that the Saints need to build around, it’s him.

He has been the leading tackler and defensive captain for the last couple of years. He has an All-Pro and Pro-Bowl selection in the last two years. Davis also needs the most help in his position. Davis is also a fantastic leader.

They drafted Zach Baun last year who he is currently mentoring. They brought in Kwon Alexander, but we didn’t get enough sample size to see what the two can do together. They need to reach out this offseason via draft or free agency and build a linebacking corps around Davis.
