Number Two: Carson Wentz

Carson Wentz is likely going to be dealt sooner rather than later, and the New Orleans Saints have been linked to him for quite a while.

Yes, the Saints’ staff would have to maneuver quite a bit of cap space to make this trade possible, but it’s not impossible by any means. Wentz would be able to learn under Sean Payton and he could turn his career around.

The Carson Wentz situation reminds me a lot of the Drew Brees situation back in 2006.

Brees was considered a mediocre quarterback with a lot of potential, much like Wentz is considered to be. Wentz was an MVP candidate back before his injury the year the Eagles won the Super Bowl and a good coach could help him regain that form.

If Sean Payton wants Carson Wentz bad enough, he’ll go get him. Money isn’t a factor when it comes to landing some talent that could remold the franchise, and Carson Wentz is a guy who could do that.

Wentz has some raw talent, but with the coaching staff that has been assembled, there’s no doubt that Wentz could be traded to the Saints and be the savior of their franchise.
