Looking past the offseason into next season, the Saints again have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL, including the AFC teams that they play.

The Saints have a combined 25 regular-season wins in the last two seasons. It wasn’t a pretty season last year, but they won some big games. New Orleans went 2-2 against the opposing conference during their 2020 season.

The top three AFC teams that the Saints played last year were the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Chargers, and the Las Vegas Raiders. The only two they lost to were the Las Vegas Raiders early in the year and the Kansas City Chiefs who are in the Super Bowl right now.

Overall, their opposite conference schedule was pretty easy last year. This year, the black and gold are not going to be that lucky. Outside of the top three, the Saints also play the New England Patriots and the New York Jets in the AFC.

The Saints have some things to work through this offseason, but all-in-all, they have a team that is still prepared to make it to the playoffs. A big part of that journey is going to be their games against these three opponents in the AFC.
