Zach Banner, T, Pittsburgh Steelers

Zach Banner came to the Pittsburgh Steelers from the Cleveland Browns two years ago. In 2019, he played in 14 games even though he only started one. In 2020, he was set to be a starter but fell to injury in Week 1 that would keep him out the rest of the year.

Because of that injury, I can see the Steelers not wanting to bring him back. Just like with said with the Eagles’ Jason Peters, Easton is costing the Saints a lot of money to be a replacement off of the bench. Banner could do the same thing cheaper.

He started 92 percent of the snaps in his only 2020 start which means that he is able to come in and play big minutes if the time were to come for him too. He can also shift from tackle to guard making him the perfect versatile backup.

The Saints need to spend money in other places rather than paying a backup lineman starter price. Zach Banner would be a steal coming off of an injury and off of one of the best offensive lines in the NFL to another quality offensive line.

Offer: 2-years, $4 million

Saints’ Savings: $3.75 million per year
