Ty Montgomery, RB/WR, New Orleans Saints

There came a time in the season where all of the New Orleans Saints running backs were on the COVID-19 list and Ty Montgomery had to start at the running back position and he did not look twice and dominated in that start that he got.

He rushed 18 times for 105 yards. That is almost good enough numbers to warrant the Saints letting Latavius Murray go and putting Montgomery at the backup and change of pace running back position with Alvin Kamara.

Either way, in the short time he was with New Orleans last year, he proved to be a valuable asset. For that reason, the Saints should at least work on bringing him back. He wasn’t an expensive asset either so he fits the team’s needs.

They wouldn’t really end up saving anything on this signing because it is a re-signing and he already made so little, that it isn’t possible to go lower. They are still getting a deal though keeping Montgomery at that gadget backup.

Offer: 2-years, $3 million
