If the Texans end up trading Deshaun Watson, they could start a total rebuild. Here are three players the Saints could grab in their fire sale.

The New Orleans Saints, even with a potential departure of Drew Brees, are still in a position to win now. Regardless of what happens this offseason, they need to continue to build a team that can contend for a Super Bowl because of the pieces that are still there.

The Houston Texans have done all but completely burn their bridge with Deshaun Watson. There is a huge chance that he will be out of Texas by the end of the offseason. That leaves the Texans with the choice of trying to get another star quarterback or starting a complete team rebuild.

After a 4-12 season last year, the rebuild might be the better option. If they are going to be looking to get rid of players, the Saints need to be on the phone to try and improve their team. Granted, cap space makes things a little on edge.

Because of that, stars like J.J. Watt, David Johnson, Laremy Tunsil, Whitney Mercilus, and Zach Cunningham are all off the table — the Saints couldn’t pay them. However, that does leave at least three Texans that New Orleans should still call about.

Here they are.
