Matthew Stafford

The Detroit Lions have a top-ten pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and they do not plan on bringing back their long-time signal-caller. Stafford’s time in the Motor City is going to come to an end, and his start in a new organization will commence.

While thinking about trading for him and actually doing it are different since Stafford’s contract would pose a big obstacle for the Saints. Stafford has the talent to come in and thrive in the Big Easy.

Stafford, for the eighth time in his career, had over 4,000 passing yards. He went for 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions this past season which is on par for most of his seasons with the Lions.

He’s talented and has a strong arm. A change of scenery could bring out the best in Stafford, and for the Saints, that could be the difference between a playoff-contending team and a Super Bowl-contending one.
