Mac Jones

While his teammate won the Heisman trophy, Mac Jones did get to the final stage.

He also balled out against Ohio State in the National Championship game. Jones has every tool the Saints would crave in a franchise quarterback, but after such a terrific couple of performances, there’s no denying the 22-year-old may not fall to No. 28.

What really stands out about Jones is how he handled pressure at Alabama. Yes, he had elite threats, but he, according to Pro Football Focus, has a 78 completion rate and 18 touchdowns when blitzed.

His overall numbers were equally as impressive. Jones threw for 41 touchdowns and a mere 4 interceptions. He also captained the team that won the National Championship and could easily be considered one of the best college teams ever.

With an insane 77.4 percent completion rate, Jones, with the right offensive line, should be able to prove that his accuracy can translate to the next level. Given what he’s shown, Jones at No. 28 would be ideal for the Saints.
