Stafford is Super Bowl-caliber and Super Bowl ready.

There is no denying that the New Orleans Saints have built a Super Bowl ready team. They were trying so hard to get Drew Brees the team he needed to get him to another Super Bowl before his contract was up or he decided to retire.

Unfortunately, if Brees ends up retiring this offseason, they will not have accomplished that task. However, Brees will be leaving a Super Bowl-caliber team in the hands of who knows who. They need a quarterback who is ready to win now like their team is.

Matthew Stafford has spent all 12 years of his career on the Detroit Lions. In that over decade long effort, Stafford has made it to playoffs just three separate times (2011, 2014, and 2016). Out of those three times, Stafford hasn’t won a single game.

The Lions have proven that they are not going to be the team to get Stafford to the holy grail of football. Thus, they are parting ways, and before Stafford’s career comes to an end (which shouldn’t be anytime soon), and he will be looking for a team that can.

New Orleans and Stafford can be a perfect match.
