Number One: Kyle Trask

Kyle Trask is one of the best prospects in the 2021 NFL Draft and he could very well be the guy the Saints look to snag at pick number 28 if he’s still available.

Trask, 22, stands at 6-foot-5 and hails from Manvel, Texas which is a three-hour drive from where Drew Brees grew up. Trask was a major breakout candidate in 2020 which lead to him finishing fourth in Heisman Trophy voting this past season.

Kyle Trask ended his college career with a 67.9 completion percentage, 7,386 passing yards, 69 passing touchdowns, and 15 interceptions.

Trask is a bit of a raw prospect, but he has all the tangibles you look for in a franchise quarterback. He needs to work on his leadership, especially as the Gators struggled late in the season, but in a locker room full of leaders that shouldn’t be a problem.

Trask could certainly fall to the New Orleans Saints at pick number 28 and if they like what they see they should take a chance on the former Florida Gator.

Trask has a powerful arm, and while he’s not the most athletic guy in the world, he makes up for it with an eagerness to throw the ball and his accuracy in doing so.
