The New Orleans Saints lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. Now, it’s time to focus on what comes next.

This past Sunday, the New Orleans Saints season ended in a very Saints’ way. After defeating the Bucs twice in dominant fashion, the Saints lost to that same Tom Brady-led Tampa Bay team in the Divisional Round.

This team will likely leave a sour taste in future first-ballot Hall of Famer Drew Brees‘ mouth. His three interceptions and Jared Cook‘s fumble along with a plethora of other mistakes were just too much to overcome despite kicking the game off with a 6-0 lead.

Now, the Saints can set their focus on an active free agency and draft period. They’ll have the 28th-overall pick in the upcoming draft and likely also receive compensatory picks, so that will help bolster their mindset towards free agency given their tight cap situation.

With some up-and-coming players on their roster, the Saints will have to trust that those potential stars can take the next step in their development as several veterans won’t be making a return for another season in the black and gold.

That said, let’s dive into three of those players that have already played their last snap with New Orleans.
