4 NFL Draft picks scenario

In this second trade scenario for Deshaun Watson, the Saints are going to up the pick count and give the Texans four picks. This time it involves two first-round picks and two second-round picks from the next three years from New Orleans.

This year they would give them a first and second-round pick. In 2022, they would give them a first-round pick, and in 2023, they would give them a second-round pick. This way the plethora of picks gets spread out throughout the years.

Just like three first-round picks weren’t too much for Deshaun Watson, this isn’t either. You have to think about what these picks might actually garnish. They will not produce someone with the ceiling of Watson who is good now.

Deshaun Watson threw for 4,800 yards and 33 touchdowns last year. Both of those are higher than what those picks would produce. Only going into his fifth year, Watson has years ahead of him that he could bring the Lombardi trophy back to New Orleans.
