3 NFL Draft picks scenario

The first trade scenario for Deshaun Watson involves three NFL Draft picks. These three picks are all first-round picks. For a player the caliber of Deshaun Watson, it is going to involve draft capital that most fans would think is too much.

However, you have to realize that you are getting one of the best mobile quarterbacks in the NFL. Other teams like the Indianapolis Colts, whose quarterback just retired as well, have been rumored to be thinking about three first-round picks for Watson.

If the Saints were seriously interested in bringing Watson to New Orleans, then they are going to have to rival what other teams are willing to offer. The Saints are not missing any picks besides a seventh-round pick this year so they have the capital.

With the strength of the Saints team even without Drew Brees, there isn’t really much of a chance that any Saints pick in the next three years is above No. 20. That means that they aren’t getting much of a quarterback under that so the three first-round picks are worth it.
