With Drew Brees likely retiring before the offseason, the Saints need a new face of the franchise; that face could be Texans’ Deshaun Watson.

The possibility of the New Orleans Saints going into this offseason without a starting quarterback is very real. Drew Brees is likely to take a step down and retire to go full-time into broadcasting leaving the opening vacant for the time being.

While the Saints already have Jameis Winston who would be the in-house favorite to take over the starting job. He has quite a resume as the NFL passing leader with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers throwing for over 5,000 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2019.

The hottest question mark right now heading into the offseason is the disgruntled Houston Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson. After the Texans traded away DeAndre Hopkins for an aging David Johnson, Watson was confused about what was happening.

Throughout this season, the Texans surrounded Watson with zero weapons and didn’t give him an opportunity to win. A star in his prime only gets so many years in his prime to win. Watson wants a win-now team, that’s why he’ll likely demand a trade.

Strife between the two has grown since. The New Orleans Saints need to trade to Watson and here are three hypothetical trades that the Saints could make for a potential Hall-of-Famer.
