The New Orleans Saints have activated Deonte Harris, Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara ahead of their Wild Card matchup with the Chicago Bears.

After a bumpy finish to the season, the New Orleans Saints will enter Wild Card weekend almost at full strength. In their dominating Week 17 win, they were missing three of their most dynamic offensive players.

Alvin Kamara was out due to a positive Covid-19 test while Michael Thomas and Deonte Harris were nursing injuries.

Thomas missed the last three games of the year as he looked to get back to 100 percent for the postseason. The 2019 Offensive Player of the Year has been battling a lingering ankle injury. Harris also spent the last three weeks on the injured reserve due to a neck injury.

According to ESPN’s Mike Triplett, all three players will be on the team’s active roster for their matchup with the Chicago Bears. The game will be in the middle of the three final Wild Card matches and has an approximate start time of 4:40 pm EST.

This is obviously positive news for the Saints. They depend on the All-Pro returner for field position while Kamara and Thomas have been the stars of the offense over the last few seasons.

Thomas was always likely to give it a go as his injuries like could’ve been played through anyway as he clearly didn’t play at 100 percent throughout the season. As for Kamara, that mainly depended on that negative Covid test which he apparently received.

The last time Kamara took the field he tied an NFL record with six rushing touchdowns in a single game. He’s been on a tear this season, and hopefully that continues against a Bears run defense that isn’t among the ten best in the NFL.

As for Thomas, even when in action, he hasn’t been the same dynamic receiver. However, those early season injuries could be to blame. That said, with all three back in action, the Saints offense should be at full strength against the Bears.
