The Saints remember what happened last season

Last season, the Saints lost in the Wild Card round to the Minnesota Vikings. The Saints barely missed a top-two seed last season, winning 13 games. That happened to them again this season, but the hope is that the result in the Wild Card round won’t be the same.

New Orleans will take on the Bears, a team that’s struggled and doesn’t have many dynamic stars offensively.

It won’t be Dalvin Cook and Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen coming at them. The Vikings also had a competent defense. Thielen went for over 125 yards while Cook neared 30 rushes. They dominated the possession and limited Brees.

That will undoubtedly be the Bears’ goal in this game, and they’ll be able to scout just how to limit the Saints, but with so many weapons, it will be far from easy. With many players back from last season, the sting of the last three postseason shortcomings should still be with them.

That drive should help them prepare and dominate on Sunday. Let’s at least hope that’s the way the Saints’ second straight season playing on Wild Card weekend goes down.
