Michael Thomas

The last fix they are going to have to make in general is Michael Thomas. Thomas is coming off of a regular season in 2019 where he recorded 149 receptions for over 1,700 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in a historic season.

This year he has come back and played the exact opposite. First of all, he has only appeared in seven out of 16 games this year. He hasn’t even played half of the season. On top of that, he has only 40 passes for 438 yards and zero touchdowns in 2020.

The Saints desperately need their superstar wide receiver back. When he has been healthy, he has shown flashes of his 2019 self, but the big-bodied wide receiver needs to come into these playoffs and own them like he did last year.

The Saints have a real shot at being the next Super Bowl Champions, but they are going to have to play the best they have all season. Brees is going to have to be on target, Lutz is going to have to make long field goals, the offensive line needs to protect, and Michael Thomas needs to show up.
