With the regular season coming to a close, it is time to hand out grades for each position group that took the field for the New Orleans Saints.

There you have it; the Saints are 12-4, barely missing a third straight 13-3 season.

By virtue of a 33-7 victory over the Panthers, the Saints have not only clinched the No. 2 seed with a 12-4 record, but they also were able to sweep the NFC South- an impressive feat.

Given all the adversity they had to deal with, it was a pretty successful season for New Orleans. They’ve pushed their chips into the table to have a chance to win Drew Brees one more Super Bowl title, and they certainly are in a position to do so.

Before we turn our attention to the playoffs, let us look back at the regular season.

Which position groups over/underperformed expectations? What is there to take away from a wild season? We will go through each position, starting with the quarterbacks, before wrapping it up with head coach Sean Payton, as well as an overall team grade.
