Emmanuel Sanders

With Michael Thomas missing another game, Emmanuel Sanders was, yet again, going to be the No. 1 receiver for the Saints yesterday. With Alvin Kamara and Latavius Murray out as well, even more pressure than before was going to be put on Sanders to contribute.

Well, Saints’ fans, he heard you. Sanders came out and caught nine of 13 passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. Outside of one game, this was the most receptions he has had in a single game this season for the black and gold.

Sanders is going to end the year as the Saints leading wide receiver in receptions, yards, and touchdowns. He is only behind running back Alvin Kamara in most of those categories. For a player playing on a two-year contract, he is earning his keep.

It is hopefully going to be just as successful next year when Michael Thomas plays more than a handful of games in a season. Thomas and Sanders should flow together into the playoffs and hopefully, this gives Sanders more confidence going into next week.
