After an exciting Christmas Day win against the Vikings, the Saints now head to Carolina with playoff seeding on the line.

Last season, the Saints traveled to Carolina to take on the Panthers with their playoff seeding in question.

This year, it’s almost the exact same scenario. If New Orleans comes away with a victory, they secure the No. 2 seed, and could even be the No. 1 seed if the Packers lose to the Bears. If they fall short, they may fall to the No. 6 seed.

With the No. 2 seed representing a chance to play an inferior playoff opponent, there is a lot to play for here.

The Saints are coming off of a very fun Christmas Day win in which they were able to eliminate the Vikings from the playoffs, clinch an NFC South title, score 50 points, and see their star running back score six touchdowns.

Replicating such a performance isn’t going to happen, but can they keep the train rolling moving into the playoffs against a familiar divisional foe led by Teddy Bridgewater? Or will this game serve as a letdown spot with them looking ahead to postseason football?

As they look to sweep the division this season, let us preview the Saints’ regular-season finale!
