Carson Wentz

The Eagles are going to be paying Carson Wentz some serious money over the next few seasons. If Brees retires and Mickey Loomis does his usual tricks, Wentz’s contract may not be that big of an obstacle.

However, it would take quite a bit to bring him in. Would it be worth it? That’s what the Saints must answer before looking into adding the veteran quarterback.

A former top-three pick, Wentz was benched for Jalen Hurts, and he won’t be getting that starting gig back anytime soon.

Wentz has 16 touchdowns and a league-high 15 interceptions. He, like Winston, has a turnover problem. With the proper offensive line and receiving corps, there’s no denying Wentz could turn his career around.

At 6-foot-5, Wentz has the height to see over defenses. He’s still young and would only be a real option if Winston decides not to come back.

Obviously, Winston should be the first option. Hill could be the second, but after that, it could be a trade the team looks for.
