Matthew Stafford

Like with the Falcons, the Lions haven’t looked great either.

While it’s not all Matthew Stafford’s fault, there’s no denying they may be looking for a replacement in the near future. The Lions should also have a top-ten pick, so they may be looking for one of those top-three quarterbacks.

They may even want a player like Kyle Trask or Mac Jones. Either way, the Lions could easily be moving on from Stafford.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, Stafford is a less-appealing addition for the Saints. He has just six games this season in which he’s hasn’t thrown a pick and only one of those has Stafford notched at least three touchdowns.

However, if the Saints can’t retain Winston or add a notable free agent or draftee, they may want to consider a player like Stafford, who at least is a veteran and has shown that he can efficiently captain a team.
