Demario Davis

The Saints offense has mounted several double-digit comebacks, but they haven’t been quite as dominant as their top-ranked defense. Despite having a few games in which they’ve been exploited, the defense is largely responsible for their fourth straight division title.

While the pass rush has been huge, the team being able to cover tight ends and limit running back is what’s also taken it to the next level. The player that’s been doing that all over the field for New Orleans is Demario Davis.

The 6-foot-2 linebacker has four double-digit tackle games. Along with 12 games in which he’s played 100 percent of the snaps, Davis has four sacks on the season. An All-Pro a season ago, Davis will likely be up for the honor again.

Davis has 114 tackles on the season, and if he gets more than two next Sunday, he’ll have the second-most combined tackles of his career. This season, he also has ten quarterback hits, 12 tackles for loss and four passes defended.

Davis has been the staple of the middle of the field for the Saints defense.
