Latavius Murray

Another running back?

The Saints managed to put not only one running back but two over 70 yards on the ground. Murray has a mere 12 touches and ended with 72 yards. While it’s almost impossible to top Kamara’s 7.0 yards per carry, Murray excelled, notching 6.0 yards per carry.

He played very well and thrived behind the dominant offensive line. While Kamara did get the numbers and explode as the favored back, both players dominating helps prove that the offensive line is just that good.

That said, Murray did play well and, although he didn’t get in the end zone, was extremely efficient whether it be as a blocked or runner. Murray also somehow managed to have more receiving yards than Kamara, also going for three receptions but totaling 24 yards through the air.

It was an odd game given how much the Saints scored, but Murray, as with Kamara, took advantage of every opportunity that came his way.
