Wentz for Sheldon Rankins, Emmanuel Sanders, and a seventh-round pick

This last scenario covers two needed positions in one for the Eagles plus a draft pick. According to Glenn Erby from EaglesWire, “Fletcher Cox isn’t getting any young, while Malik Jackson and Javon Hargrave are talented but expensive players at the defensive tackle position.”

Sheldon Rankins has only been in the league five years and is coming off of his second NFL contract. With it expiring at the end of the season, the Saints could look to move him first. Rankins is a younger, more talented tackle than the aforementioned names from the Eagles.

On top of Rankins, the Eagles are still looking for wide receivers to help their group. New Orleans got Emmanuel Sanders in free agency last year, but he hasn’t been the same receiver he was in Denver or San Francisco for that matter.

Just to spice things up, I have the Saints also adding in the last round pick. I know all of these trades entail giving up a lot of draft capital or player talent, but the future of who is going to lead the Saints’ offense is on the line here, and Wentz could be the option for Sean Payton.
