Number Three: Make it their Game

If the New Orleans Saints can somewhat simplify things and play at their own pace on Sunday afternoon, they will have a strong shot at winning this game. If they allow the Chiefs to exploit their weaknesses, the odds aren’t very much in their favor.

The Saints’ main priority on Sunday needs to be playing in a way that helps the team win best. I know that sounds a bit cliché, but if the Saints want to win this game they need to avoid putting all their trust in Taysom Hill and start relying on whatever seems to be working.

The biggest reason the Saints lost last Sunday was due to the offense forcing plays that were obviously not working. They kept using the screen game and play-action shots that were continuously being shut down all day.

New Orleans has two outstanding running backs they need to use to their advantage against the Chiefs defense. Everyone knows the playmaking abilities Alvin Kamara brings to the offense, but they also have Latavius Murray who’s been averaging 4.5 yards per carry all season that they could use in an increased role.

The Chiefs’ run defense hasn’t been the best as they’ve been allowing 4.7 yards per rush attempt this season.

That’s a major weakness of the Chiefs and if the Saints can exploit that on Sunday they have a great chance at regaining their swagger heading into the final two games of the season.
