Number Two: Getting Pressure on Patrick Mahomes

Getting pressure on Patrick Mahomes is arguably the most important element of the game for the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Mahomes, who was sacked a season-high three times last Sunday, felt constant pressure by the Miami Dolphins, and it showed.

Mahomes doesn’t play well with pressure in his face, and the Saints have one of the best pass-rushing units in the NFL. Mahomes was forced out of the pocket several times last Sunday and was hit early and often which lead to him making poor decisions and making questionable throws.

Mahomes threw three interceptions against the Dolphins last week after going the first 13 weeks with just two interceptions combined.

Mahomes is clearly rattled right now and traveling down to New Orleans won’t make his life any easier as the Saints play noticeably better at home than on the road.

If the Saints can exploit a rather weak duo of guards the Chiefs have and get some hits on Mahomes, they will certainly be in contention to win this game.
