Alshon Jeffrey

As well as a cornerback problem, the New Orleans Saints have also had a wide receiver problem. Last year, Michael Thomas caught almost 50 percent of passes completed by quarterback Drew Brees which is astronomical.

The franchise made a move and brought in the free agent and former 49er Emmanuel Sanders to add to the roster. He brings plenty of excitement and playmaking ability to Drew Brees’ arsenal but is he all that they need?

In the last three years in Philadelphia, Jeffery caught 165 receptions, 2,430 yards, and 19 touchdowns. Those numbers are even better than what Sanders did last year with the San Francisco 49ers and this season with the Saints.

Between Jalen Reagor, Travis Fulgham, Greg Ward, DeSean Jackson, and Marquise Goodwin, the Eagles don’t still have a need for Jeffrey.

If the Saints could add Jeffery as a No. 2 receiver, it would be amazing. The team could trade Sanders for Jeffery and a pick and get the same talented player and an extra pick. You know how Payton likes to hoard his picks and use them wisely.
