Taysom Hill’s value seems high for what he actually is.

The stretch that Taysom Hill is on right now is very similar to the game he had in the Wild Card round of the playoffs last year against the Minnesota Vikings. Everyone is seeing him win behind one of the league’s best defenses.

However, it is making him look a bit more talented than he actually is. The Saints need to take advantage of that this offseason and try to get as much as they can out of him before his stock drops again — and be realistic this time around.

Last year, they missed their opportunity when they put a first-round tender on him and then were forced to sign him. They then gave him a massive extension far more than what he is actually worth for the next few years.

That might be the hardest part in trading him now is someone taking on his contract, but the way he is playing right now, someone is bound to look at him and say he is worth it. It would also open up about $5 million in cap space per year that they could use elsewhere.
