Trey Hendrickson (and Cameron Jordan, Marcus Davenport)

The last player or group of players that could be held responsible for the loss to the Eagles is the defensive ends. Between Trey Hendrickson and Cameron Jordan alone, they have a total of 17 sacks on the season.

If you add in Davenport, there is almost 20 sacks represented. However, against the Eagles, there were zero sacks by the entire team. The three of them also combined for only one hit on the quarterback in the entire game.

They were just not getting to the quarterback like they normally do and because of that Jalen Hurts had all the time in the world to make decisions and half the time ended up running with it. They also only combined for four tackles between the three of them.

The Saints now drop to 10-3 on the year.

They will need to win out to tie last year’s record of 13-3. This was another ugly loss to a three-win team. They are also heading into their toughest opponent of the season next week in the Kansas City Chiefs.
