Marcus Davenport

The last New Orleans Saints stud on our list is Marcus Davenport. Davenport has not been having his best season, and if he doesn’t step up soon, it’ll be his next contract on the line as his first two seasons in the league haven’t warranted a big-time extension.

Davenport has one 1.5 sacks this season.

He won’t reach the 13 games he played in both his rookie and second season in the league. After an injury to start the season and one that’s held him out recently, Davenport has just seven games played.

Since Davenport’s decline, Trey Hendrickson has stepped up and has 10.5 sacks. While that starting spot is no longer Davenport’s, he will have a chance to make sure he can continue to thrive in the Big Easy.

He needs to break out to end this season and prodive consistent relief. Three dominant pass rushers would be terrific for a franchise heading into the postseason, and Davenport can make that happen.
