Marcus Davenport

This is also not on Marcus Davenport. Due to an injury at the beginning of the year that caused Davenport to miss some games, it has given the Saints the opportunity to see just what his backup, Trey Hendrickson, can really do.

Hendrickson currently is tied for No. 3 in the NFL in sacks with a registered 10.5 on the year. That is as good as guys like TJ Watt, Aaron Donald, and Myles Garrett. With a hot hand like that, the Saints need to be riding it as long as they possibly can.

Cameron Jordan on the other side of the line has been playing well too. He currently has 6.5 on the year which is still good for the top 20 in the NFL. Marcus Davenport just never got the chance to get going and now is not the time to give him that opportunity.

Until Trey Hendrickson proves that he is incapable of keeping up these numbers, Davenport needs to stay on the bench. I hate to say that because he is young and being developed, but Hendrickson is just playing at a level that the Saints need to win a Super Bowl.
