Number Two: Eric Reid

Marcus Williams and Malcolm Jenkins have been playing well recently, but if the New Orleans Saints lose one of those guys, they don’t have any legitimate depth to replace them.

The Saints could sign any of the main safeties on the market like Earl Thomas, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, or Tony Jefferson, but I feel like Eric Reid gives the Saints the best shot at contending for a Super Bowl.

Eric Reid, if he were to be signed, would bring a Vonn Bell playstyle with him to the Saints which would be more of a hybrid linebacker, pass-rushing role on the defense which is an area the Saints have been missing this season.

The Saints have still done a good job at getting to opposing quarterbacks, but adding a defensive back with excellent speed and tackling ability would add some serious heat to an already stacked Saints defense.

Reid put up career numbers just a season ago in Carolina but has yet to sign with a team in 2020. The former LSU Tiger would be welcomed with open arms and help provide depth beyond the underwhelming DJ Swearinger at the safety position.

Reid has played in a Super Bowl before and the Dutchtown, Louisiana native could help the Saints win their second.
