The city of New Orleans is going to be hyped on Christmas Day this year with a Saints and Pelicans’ double-header making it even better.

New Orleans has been in the media spotlight in the world of professional sports. Between the Saints currently on an eight-game win streak and the Pelicans’ young phenom Zion Williamson, the two look to make Christmas a little more exciting in New Orleans this year.

The NBA just released their Christmas-Day schedule ahead of their entire regular season schedule and Zion Williams and the New Orleans Pelicans will get a shot at Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat at noon on ESPN.

The game will be played in Miami, Florida.

The NFL, on the other hand, is unheard of to play on Christmas Day, much less a Friday. For the most part, Thanksgiving has always had NFL games and Christmas has always had NBA games. This year, New Orleans will be a part of both.

The Saints are the ones getting the opportunity to play on the rare Friday NFL game. They will play the Minnesota Vikings as a part of Week 16. Now, the Saints will play inside the Dome in New Orleans while the Pelicans are on the road.

The Saints will close out their season in Carolina against the Panthers that next week. They will then be preparing for the playoffs, hopefully with the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC so they don’t have to play again in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.

Hopefully, Zion Williamson and company will be able to get a win in Miami against the reigning Finals runner-up, and Alvin Kamara and company will be able to get a revenge win against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year on.
