Loser – Alvin Kamara

Alvin Kamara is listed here for the first time this year.

Really, this could be any receiver on the Saints roster, but Kamara has been the most proficient with the most to lose so his name was the one listed. In reality, not because of his performance, but because of the lack of Hill’s throwing.

Kamara is, or was, on pace to be the best non-quarterback offensive player in the NFL this year — or at least a contender. He was the best receiving back in the NFL. Both of those look to be dwindling away the more Taysom Hill is leading the offense.

In the two games that Hill has started, Kamara has caught one pass for negative two yards on three targets. Hill has just decimated the Kamara sweepstakes. He isn’t even getting his targets out of the backfield anymore.

If Hill isn’t throwing it downfield, he is running it himself without the virtual need for Alvin Kamara. Once again, Taysom Hill is a great gadget player, but when he starts at quarterback, most of the team suffers — here it’s Alvin Kamara.
