Loser – Taysom Hill

Once again our man Taysom Hill is one good game and done type of player. Let’s hope he’s not, but his performance against Denver was far from promising.

Here, Sean Payton chooses to play Hill over Jameis Winston. It looked like the right decision last week when Hill threw for 233 yards and ran for 50 with two touchdowns. Now, after a poor game against a tattered defense, I don’t know that that’s the case.

On Sunday afternoon, Hill only threw for 78 yards which included taking three separate sacks for 15 total yards and throwing one interception. From a passing perspective, it was pitiful against a defense he should have been slinging the ball against.

On the ground, he continued to do his best work. He rushed 10 times for 44 yards that included two one-yard touchdown runs. That is a good performance for a gadget player like he is supposed to be but not for a quarterback on a premiere offense.

Sean Payton needs to give Jameis Winston a shot to run the offense. While Hill hasn’t lost a game, his performances are slowly getting worse and worse. Outside of Kendall Hinton, who isn’t even a quarterback, Hill threw for the least amount of yards of any starting NFL quarterback in Week 12.
