Number Three: Malcolm Jenkins

Malcolm Jenkins didn’t have his name mentioned much on Sunday afternoon in Denver, but he certainly made his mark on the team. Jenkins is somewhat of a co-captain with Demario Davis on the New Orleans defense and his leadership left a big mark on the Saints’ secondary.

For the first time since 1998, an NFL team threw more interceptions than completed passes, and the leadership of Malcolm Jenkins has played a huge role in setting his teammates up with the opportunities to make big plays in the secondary.

Jenkins also made a couple of big plays himself. Although it didn’t count as a strip-sack, Jenkins did make a play on Phillip Lindsay who was trying to regain possession of a ball that he fumbled which was ultimately recovered by the Saints’ Kwon Alexander.

Jenkins also had five tackles and two tackles for a loss aside from that play.

He stepped up and played well and managed to help hold the Broncos relatively inexistent passing game to a single completion on Sunday.
