Overview

Currently, the Saints are a six-point favorite, which demonstrates the public’s faith in them after Hill’s surprising performance against the Falcons.

Playing Atlanta when there is no game tape on you is one thing, but playing the Broncos defense is another.

Denver is loaded with defensive talent at all levels, and are coached tremendously by Vic Fangio. Thus, Sean Payton is going to have to possess a few more wrinkles up his sleeve, while Hill will need to come through in unfavorable situations.

The latter aspect has me concerned, and for that reason, I believe New Orleans likely won’t cover that spread.

However, the Broncos are not in a good spot offensively right now. If they continue to run the ball on early downs, that will put the struggling Drew Lock in unfavorable obvious passing situations, and that’s where the Saints’ pass rush can take over.

Thus, although the Saints won’t cover, I do believe they’ll come away with a low-scoring, tight victory. This will be a very tough test for Hill, but the same can be said for Lock, and New Orleans has more overall talent.

This will be a very fun game to watch. Not only is the Payton vs Fangio matchup enticing, but we all need more data points on Hill, who may be the most interesting man in football right now. Here’s to hoping he and the Saints can avoid a letdown spot and keep their winning streak alive!
