Number Two: Myles Jack

The New Orleans Saints need to develop a long term linebacker corps to build the rest of their defense around and Myles Jack could be a guy they could target.

Jack, a 24-year-old linebacker for the Jacksonville Jaguars, is certainly an interesting target for the Saints to go after considering his great athleticism and easily avoidable contract clause following the 2021 season.

Let’s say the Saints trade for Myles Jack but are ultimately not pleased with what he brings to the team, they could release him following the 2021 season without taking too much of a cap hit. In fact, Spotrac believes if there is a chance he gets released before his contract expires following the 2023 season, that season will be in 2021.

Jack is as productive as they come on the field and the Saints are starting to build a faster and more athletic linebacker corps.

Jack has accumulated 352 tackles, 239 solo tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, 15 quarterback hits, 6.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, four fumbles recovered, 13 passes defended, three interceptions, and two touchdowns in his NFL career thus far and he’s only going to get better.

If the Saints are able to get their hands on Jack they could get a steal for a rather cheap price.
