He made those around him better.

A key attribute in a starting quarterback that doesn’t necessarily show up on the stat sheet is how good they make the players around them. The best example of this is Michael Thomas. Thomas has been struggling as of late coming off an injury.

With Taysom Hill as his starting quarterback, Thomas was able to go off like the 2019 Michael Thomas for nine receptions for 104 yards. Emmanuel Sanders also caught six passes for 44 yards, and we even saw Adam Trautman get back into the stat sheet.

It was just a good game all the way around for Saints players. I know they were still playing a 3-6 Atlanta Falcons team, but you can still tell the stars on the team rallied around Taysom Hill, and in response, he made them better players.

It was good to see the Saints extend their win streak to seven straight now. The road to eight will go through Denver next week as the Saints are set to take on the Broncos in Week 12 with Taysom Hill back under center for the black and gold.
